of events long awaited

The day has finally come! Today, I leave to study abroad in Italy for a month. I couldn't be more excited because I have spent many days, months even, planning this trip! I know I've been very bad at keeping this blog updated lately, but I want to document this trip well, so be on the lookout for upcoming posts about my travels and experiences.
Thus far, not much has happened. I'm sitting at LAX airport waiting for my flight to Newark to begin. (Frustratingly, it's already been delayed twice). One of my first stops in Europe is Iceland. It seems rather random, but when I was searching for a flight to Milan with my friends, we found one with a layover long enough to let us explore Reykjavik for a short time. Iceland will be my first look at Europe, and I can't wait. Fingers crossed that all flights go smoothly from here on out!
